Mugs are food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe. A bonus is that the handle does not get overly hot when heated in the microwave. Mugs take about 4 weeks to make, fire, glaze and then fire again. So plan on about 6 weeks to arrive at your home. Every mug is hand thrown and individually made so each will be just a bit different and have it's own characteristics.
