Erik Vetne

My Story

Erik Vetne is a potter starting in college. As a classroom elementary school teacher for 9 years, he shared his love of pottery with his students. Then through 25 years as a pediatrician, pottery remained a love for spare hours. Now his pottery is also shared with students at Southern Adventist University in the ceramics program as a volunteer assistant in the ceramics program.

The last several years have been devoted to developing specialized glazes and glazing techniques that result in unique effects on the surface of each piece. Each piece is individual and the final result is always distinctive.

He has passed this legacy onto his kids and grandkids. His daughter, Karlin, joins him as a potter with Wolftever Creek Pottery.
